  • sticky valve help ??

    so i got this motor from the junkyard z6 ... not in my car yet but on inspection my friend realized a valve sticks if i turn the motor over the valve goes down nd won't go back up unless i move it up myself ... i'm thinkin spring may b goin i'm prolly gonna pull the head today.. ne one have pointers in freein it up i'd rather not pull the head off if i don't need to

    i seen people dip the head in oil and move the components while in the oil till they free up

      well i asked a few ppl nd the best answer i got was to take the intake off nd oil the bottom half of the valve cuz the seal doesnt' let it in when the valve pushes down so i'ma try that in a lil jus waitin 4 it to warm up a lil

        you should take the time and take the head off... work smarter not harder !

          i got it 2 come back up on its own :D i sprayed a bunch of blaster in the head through the injector nd worked it back nd forth could prolly do it a lil more jus to b sure it comes up all the way.. but i'll have it rite thanks 4 ya help guys

            kool, you should have changed your valve seals before you installed it. you dont know how long the pars on the junk yard sit for.

              well its in nd still runnin strong if only i could get that damn o2 sensor ************ working rite 1 wire to 4 wire o2 conv. owns me
