ive had both the defference in size is very small almost unoticable by eye....so think of it this way if you had 17s for our cars almost evrry rim vendor will sell you 205/40s and on our stockies we usually put either 195/50 or 205 50 ideally...a 16in rim is right in the middle of those two sizes so the only logical size to use would be the 45....gl
