ok so im thinking of swapping a d16z6 in my boys ek hatch. but heres the funny part, i notice he has a d15b7 non vtec motor but it has a d16y7 manifold on it (that weird manifold that the throttle body sits on top) well anyways i was wondering if i can & use that same manifold on the d16z6? will it function properly? and will the harness from the z6 plug in right? or can i use the harness that is currently on the b7? and jhus run the vtec strait to the computer? lmk guys i need some help before i start wrenching.

no vtec ecu is gonna run the 3 wire iac used on the y7 mani. except an automatic p2p, but then running a z6 block wont allow a knock sensor cuz obd1 blocks dont have the place for it. ...its a big headache, i would leave it obd2...i have a complete y7 long block that just needs bearings...it had the slightest knock i just replaced it...if anyone knows what every 95 honda accord sounds like it sounded like that lolFollow me on instavtec @steaksauce

U could of just asked me.. u have to use the y7 manifold and use the harness on the old motor... If u wanna change the manifold that when it gets complicated... This is wat I would do... As far as vtec u can wire it right to the computer.. check engine will b on cuz of the crank sensor... If u want gimme a call ill explain it.. u got my number...Money Ain't A Thang Crew member #10
