Chassis Question

I was wondering if a fwd engine would run on a awd chassis. One of my co workers says it will but I don't think so. Want to get Some clarification from you guys. Let me know ctv.

the thing is that there is no such thing as an fwd, awd, or rear wheel drive motor....its the cars that they mount in that are classified and also the trans mission used....if i had a bubble with a bseries and i decide to turn it sideways with the timing belt facing the front of the car and i moved the trans behind it rite up against the fire wall..then finally i attached a drive shaft and rear diff.....would you call the engine or the car itself rear wheel drive? if you dont get wut i mean you should look up the nissan guys they use the sr20det motor in the 240 which is rear drive and the sentra se-r which is front drive...hope i answered ur question

U can put any motor on whatever chassis u want. If u want a fwd car u get ur self a far tranny and leave the rear alone. If u want a rear wheel drive get ur self a rwd tranny ect. Alot of fab tho

The b20 can be intalled as fwd and also awd. Vvti can be fwd (scion) or awd(alot of cars). The Nissan sr like he said. It's all about the tranny
