  • car is overheating,

Car is overheating, I don't have a air intake. My radiator isn't leaking and the cap is still good. I got my headgasket and waterpump changed at Digital sound auto on New Britian ave. Like last month. So hopefully its not the waterpump. Wut else could itbe? Could it be that I don't hav air intake or a sensor problem

Yea it could be , thats how my cousin car was over heating the thermostat sensor went , so we replace it and it doesnt over heat nomore , and if the raditor fan doesnt come on , you can jump it to your thermostat plug , until you switch the sensor

check that link out , prolly help its really hard to explain where its located , but its not hard to miss, its a sensor with a bolt around it , seem like you can use a ranch to screw it off , which your going have to but its really sits next to the top radiator hose , if you follow it , and it should be sitting right next to it , on the back, left of your motor .if your looking from the front of your car .

ok i got the thermostat in but still have the problem, i dont think my coolant is circulating. when i go to check for air bubbles its nothing there not even coolant dripping out

I just changed the switch sensor to the fan, its on now but it still overheating. since i changed it it just started to suck in the antifreeze but why is it overheating. my oil is low but that shouldnt make a difference

ok coolant stuff can be a pain in the ass first is ur car overheating within the first 3 minutes of idleing becuase if it is then its probably non of those things cuz the car wouldnt get that hot that fast then check to make sure ur coolant is actualy circulating then check to see if ur thermostat is opeing and closing u can do this by feeling the coolant hoses after the car is at normal operating temp if both are hot ur thermostat is opening if only one is hot then its not lastly check to make sure u bled the cooling system and thers no air pockets dont bleed it from the overflow tank take the cap off the radiator (when its not overheating) and leav it running add coolant as needed until the fans come on if everything is ok then take it back to whoever did ur headgasket and tell them to run a block test to make sure no combustion gasses and getting into ur cooling system (IE they fucked somthing up) thats how id go about it
