Car just fell flat on its face, starts but cuts out instantly

ok so i was ripping it all the way to redline in 1st gear 7000+ rpm went to shift into 2nd and a loud noise followed by the car losing all power..no steering, no brakes...a strong smell of sulfer..it will start for about 2-4 seconds if i rev it up. it sounds on time but pops and shakes badly..just did my timing belt on sunday...my thoughts are the crank sensor shit out

yea i did..ive got some head work done so its alittle more fun to rip on, it was really healthy too, pulled fine..i just got it back from the body shop about 2 weeks ago
