Vtec solenoid malfunction

Ok so on my way to crown friday nite n as im driving i poped vtec n not that long afta my check engine came on so i got off tha high way n wondered wat broke or sum thing n i cudnt find out so tha next morning i hooked one of those code/computer readers that u can plug in that u get at tha auto store n it said that my p1259 code poped or wat ever so i looked it up n i saw vtec solenoid malfuction n i didnt kno wat to do so i cleared it but wat causes tha solenoid to malfunction and how can i clean tha vtec solenoid i tlked to 2 ppl n they both said use brake cleaner to clean it will that work?

u may need a new solenoid

You probably just need a new vtec solenoid.hmu tomorrow an I'll take a look for ya

Ight n i looked for a new 1 n i coodnt find a new solenoid any where on tha internet
