  • Do I need oversizepistons rings?

    Building a LSv b18a block with gsr head and aftermarket pistons I wanna know if i need oversized listing rings with these pistons http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=75364787640 no block work done, can I use ls piston rings?

    they are 81.5 bore. ls are 81mm. negative.

              That yellow NPR box is pistons rings. Gap them and put that thing together!

                    got to get the rings that go for them pistons nd make shure u get 81mm rings then gap them nd then put them on the pistons nd your good..they look like std or npr u have to get the saim name brand as the pistons..glwb

                      Oh okay, happen to read over that part sorry lol. As long as your bore is still 81mm then you don't need over-sized rings. Even with a hone you wouldn't need over-sized rings (which is something I recommend doing...) Just buy stock rings, preferably OEM Honda rings. But as the other guy said, get rings that are meant to go with whatever pistons you have. Gap them to the specs that that company calls for for your setup and put your motor together.
