Im bout to get a car from out of state. Wats the process to get the title transfered to ct. I never done it b4 if I did I would be askin bout it. I just heard its a bitch.. Lmk thanks

if the dood has a title, he signs the back of it, along with a bill of sale. if NO TITLE, last/current reggie, and BOS, and emissions.

just have him sign title over like you would buying car in CT. then u need to have emissions done and a vin verification

just for clarification, the vin verification is done with the emissions. there is not a seperate "test" for this.

Just like any car you would buy in your state, if he has the title handy. Unless it's from NH then you need the most current registration (ive bought cars from up there, never a title, always regeistered them with the latest registration from PO, and then received a title). If car has no title, then you need current registration, if he don't have that, and you want the car that bad, some auto dealers (small, local, ghetto) can get you the title for some extra $$, I've had to go that route.

Since he was the last owner, have him go to the dmv n get a copy of it, but then you have to wait a couple weeks for it.
