i recently got a ls cable tranny the tag says s1 on it what kind of tranny is it exactly cuz im not sure it doesnt say ys1 or j1 on it thanks for da help

s1 is just a tag for the age of the transmission. The only way to properly i.d the transmission is to open the casing and start counting gear teeth. If had many people come down to my shop claiming they have had a gsr turning out to be a ls because of markings on the case. Counting gears thats how u know.My transmission's went 9's
