Well I'm lookin to do a swap in my ek hatch I'm gonna buy it online bc I want it with low miles nd no problems I was thinking of doing jus a sohc vtec or a b20 what are the negatives and positives of doing each of these?? Bc I kno if I put a vtec motor I'll have to wire it for vtec but if I put a b20 I won't but I will have to get motor mounts the b20 is about 900 shipped with no motor or ecu the sohc is about 1100 with everything needed n with only 35k miles both come with about the same lmk wat u guys think and any advice thanks

Well neither of them are hard it's a honda. If your gonna swap it go b series. Because your gonna spend $1100 on a sohc and it really wont increase the value of the car or give it an up. If you go wit the b20 you'll have good power, increase the value of the car, and have more potential. Because you can always do b20vtec down the road.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1

you can use any b series hydro tranny. As for mounts all you need is a 99-00 Si Rear T Bracket, and the drivers side 2 post block bracket. The rest of your stock mounts work. As for ecu you can buy a jumper harness and a chipped ecu and get it tuned. But for a stock motor it's kinda pointless. I'd just run a stock ecu.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1

then buy a sohc, but your nuts for spending $1100 on a soch I dnt care if they claim it has 30k. They claim all the jdm motors have 30k but then people get some that smoke n shit. Thats just a random guess. The T bracket and side bracket are prolly like $100ish for both brand new at the dealer. If you decide to go sohc you should just buy a longblock and use your trans/clutch setup.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1
