help on 97 gsr hatch

hi i got a 97 hatch that i put a gsr motor. know the car start but i have to gave it gas to start and if i let go the pedal it cuts off what culd it be?
it has the check engine on with ckp and eld sensor i trayd to by pass the crank sensor and nothing i plug it in and still nothin.
and if someone culd tell me y my altenator is getting hot and the car wasent on for a 1min. i put a 98 civic si harness from canada that here is the ex.

Convert it to obd1 and you might not have to deal with that stuff.
