my door is broken.. please help!

So I try to open my door the other night and it looks like the rod connecting to the handles behind the panel is broken so I can't open the door from the inside or outside. Everything works including my locks, but I can't get the door to open, I brought it to Acura, they want a hundred bucks an hour, 70 dollars for the part... Estimate = $650. "If we damage any thing else while trying to open your door then we are not liable for those damages." Fuck it I rather do it myself..

Is there any way to open my door without breaking any thing by using a slim jim thing the tow truckers use? I have to climb over the center console and get out the passenger door every time I drive my car now, please please please some body help me out!

break the inside door panel (i know it sucks but only way) and reach your hand in to the lock assenbly and lift up on the rod its cheaper and easier to replace the panel than pay a dealer

take the door panels out theres a screw behind the handle under the door, and one were you grab the door at and if you take those out push the door panel up and out there are only clips holding it in, then disconnect the rod from handle by usind a skinny screwdriver to loosen th rod off the lock, but for the handle those grommets holing the ro need to be order from honda lmk if it went well

Im really not trying to mess any thing up, if some one else wants to do it I'll sell it as is, I'm not looking to break something to replace it or pay a dealer a grand if they were to break any thing else themselves (who knows how cautious they'll be).... FUCKK

And it seems like the door handle from the outside isn't connected to any thing, my buddy says to just tear the door panel open to unlock it and if I'm really unsatisfied with the damage to the panel to order a new one... what would you guys do

id bust door panel nd find one at junkyard or on here or u mite b able to just take the thing out behind the inside door handle and pull the metal lever thing mite jus need a good yank ... more than wut the handle can do

Yea I'm going to try that first, if it breaks then I'll just crack it more to get to the door and buy a new one in the future... Fuck it right nothing else I can do I think...

You can get a new panel on here or a junk yard for under 50 bucks don't go to dealers for it
