help getting cel codes

alright I've tried everything to get my car going and still no luck.. now I was wondering if there is a way to pull the codes for my ecu. I've got an 88 civic dx hatch with a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness and pr4 obd1 ls ecu. is there any way I can see what codes its throwing because I've got a cel and I wanna kno what it is. I've heard of jumping some clip but I also heard that was for 92 and up since the 88 came with the light on the ecu.. I would appreiate any help thanks

what jumper harness did you use? I used the xecronn one and it came with 2 extra wires that you had to add a switch to, to check the CEL.

I have no idea my car was already converted to obd1 cuz I got it with a d16z6.. but ill check for those 2 wires and see if I have em..do u kno what color they were??

well on the xecron harness they were blue/orange I doubt theyll be the same for another jumper harness.

anything up to 95 hondas u have to jump a wire...it should be on the pass. side behind the kick panel...jump it and read the lights on the ecu...sometimes with my pr4 the ecu would just light without jumping it...check it out and keep us posted

the only clip I found had 3 wires and I tried jumpn them and nothing happened..and my pr4 doesn't have light on it its an obd1 pr4 and my jumper harness has another clip on it with some wires and one was orange and one was blue and I tried touching them together but nothing happened

ground pin d4. or see what wire is there, should be just hangin and ground it to check the cel's.

i checked and grounded it but nothing happened..i mightve had the wrong wire. which one is d4 looking at the clip??
