the muffler is the same its the mid section that different

i have a 2dr muffler aftermarket on my girls car and she has a 4dr and it does not fit correctly especially if u place all the rubber hangers on it...its a 97 civic so i dont know if eg's are the same but i say no it doesnt fit correctly but could be used
