my boy just bought a 1999 Acura TL not type s or anything like that. now looking at the motor its clearly a DOHC BUT the TLs dont offer a DOHC at least i couldnt find where it said it did. the only 3.2 V6 DOHC VTEC engine i could find was on a NSX but these motors look completly different. and we took it to honda and they said its deff not the right motor in ther but they didnt tell us what one was in ther. any ideas?

ill get pics next time im with him but i mean i looked at nsx motors on google and it doesnt look the same but its DEFF DOHC cus you can clearly see it but ill get pics. but it deff pulls hard as ************. has some kind of turbo like? setup in the air box too. little intercooler and everything can ever hear it spool? idk i dont know shit about hondas or acurasComment

heres a pic of what his engine looks like exactly. (not his exact engine from google pics) but you can clearly see on his the two covers for the timing belts. not one but two.
and where do you find the block code on it? cus like i said honda in watertown said its the wrong motor and the vin number says its a sohc. so niether agree with actual motor thats in it and its got new dual exhaust headers all that nice stuff so someone deff built it slightlyLast edited by ItalianRenegade; 10-11-2009, 10:30 PM.Comment

well TECHNICALLY its a DOHC since its a single cam for each cyl head.... but if it were true DOHC there would be 4 cams ....Comment
