  • ITB are they worth it????????

im getting my hands on a ls vtec civic hatch and wanted to no it Individual Throttle Bodies are worth the price and who makes them. all i can find are OBX ITB on ebay and i dunno if i trust stuff form ebay

it all depense on your goals. I mean if you planning on buying the obx ones from ebay your waisting your time and money!!!! They are garbage. You have to set you own tps and it never runs right. Trust me the last 3 weeks i've been helping a friend trying to get his car to run right with obx itb's and he ended up taking em off and putting a manifold back on and said he's gonna sell em to buy the ones I have. I have TWM. And they worked great on my set up. Comes with fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator. The TPS is it's own and it's pre-set with a plug and pigtail for it. So you just wire it up and your good. I liked em a lot! Im thinking about selling mine due to i spun a bearing in my motor n dnt need em now. So if interested PM me.

It really matters what your ultamate goal is. If you want a drag strip car (or someting with a lot of power) then you don't want itb's. Think of itb's (when installed correctly) like a scalpel whereas a turbo setup is more like a machettie. ITB's offer some more power but mainly they allow you to finely control throttle (also they sound amazing...it's a sound you can never get with any other setup) and usually a good increase in torque. So if you want an ass ton of power don't do itb's...go turbo (maybe some spray too). Try hitting up other forums to see what other's say and how much trouble they do/don't have with them and what they are using for the setup. Also I would not get obx andything except for vbands...

i personally like all motor thats why i got em. pm me or text em a offer. 860-383-3658. But like Astroboy said. If you are trying to make high numbers your gonna wanna go with a turbo setup. But if you wanna have fun go itb on spray. Or go all motor. I beat a lot of turbo'd cars on my all motor setup. And it wasnt due to lack of drivers cuz they could all drive. The car was fast,

Just to throw this in there ITB's arnt work it on a b series. If you were doing a drag K Swaped car then it give you good gains due to them being exposed directly to air when you cut the hood open. Also on top of that you have the initial Cost of the ITB's which for a good set are very high you have to have them adjusted every month thats why my friend changed his drag civic from the ITB's to a turbo K set up.
                1.3 to beat the 5.0's

                  i love my itb's

i drive around with them untuned on 550cc injector and it drives awsome!

and these can be used on drag racing.

not bad. went thru gas like nuttin tho. Then it began to snow and the plows started laying sand down so i took em off so I didn't suck it in.
