  • A couple of questions for CtVtec??

I have a auto 94 accord Lx w/ a jdm f22b sohc. I just wanted to know if the TPS is out of adjustment will that make the tranny shift messed up. Another thing is that the car has a high idle only in park or neutral, if its in drive or reverse its fine. One more thing i wanted to know if the car had no tranny fluid in it and you start the car up in neutral will that mess up the tranny? Thanks for any help!!

im not a tech but i believe any tranny with no fluid whether its in neutral or not it will still do damage and i doubt the tps will make it shift weird

X2...... Its def. not a good thing to start any car without tranny fluid, but as far as the TPS, it could affect tranny shifting, but your issue with the tranny is most likely related to the "kickdown" cable that runs from the tranny to the throttle body, if it is not adjusted properly, will cause early/late shifting.
