  • Hondata s300 issues

I've been running s300 in my car for the last 6 months no problem. Tonight I started my car for the first time in about a month. Ran fine for about 30 minutes then I shut it off to go inside. Went back out about 20min later. The car started but shut off immediately. I checked fuel, 45psi. I checked spark. I was getting spark. So I swapped the ecu out with a stock LS ecu. Car started right up and ran fine. So for shits n giggles I put the s300 back in, hit the top cover with a screw driver and it started up fine. I drove to the store came out and it wouldn't start so I put the LS ecu n drove home. I checked to see if the s300 board was lose. It's not. I swapped cals still no luck. I can connect and datalog fine. The cel comes on when I turn it to ignition. And the ecu lights up green. Any ideas?

if you had to tap the box for it to work, im with kj on that.

take the other side off and take a peak, if you want i can fix it, ive done hundreds of mother boards and graphic cards.

I was thinking the same thing. Assuming that when I tapped it, it made connection and worked. A buddy has a s300. I'm gonna take my 300 board out and install in his ecu and see if it works to determine wether it's the ecu or s300. The car runs like dick with the LS ecu and keeps stalling out so I gotta get this straightened out asap!
