  • Ef check engine light

Hey everyone thanks for looking in advanced.. For my 95 civic coupe I used to put a paper clip to pull the cel light, I have a 90 civic sedan now, however I can't find that little clip to pull the code... Does anyone know where it's located or how I'm supposed to pull the code? Thanks again everyone

On EF's there's an LED light on the ECU that you count the flashes on. The same concept applies as does for counting on EG's. Each long flash is 10 and each short is 1. Just turn the ignition to the on position and pull down the passenger carpet to access the ECU. Then just google the trouble codes.

I don't have to use a paper clip to short anything?

Nope that's all. The only plug under there is only for setting ignition timing.
