You're not going to get a good tune with good software for $400.

You get what you pay for. And I'm not sure too many tuners will tune on an ECU that's already chipped.

I'd save up your pennies and spend the extra $100 you're talking about.



Exactly spend top dollar then want to cheap out the most important part a tune is just plain dumb IMO.. I'd rather let the car sit , then drive a car with thousands on a junk street tune

I shouldn't be on this thread but knowing that ill need a tuner sometime in the future I'm hoping to see how the tuners will re-act to some if these post further I also kno that half the tuners names being thrown around will not comment on this forum or on any one of these specific threads seeing as they all have reps and don't entertain bs comments as I do not kno any one of these tuners ik that bashing someone will get no one anywhere but make urselves look childish and remedial on speculations and rumors

None of the other ones even view this site I do it at least once a month as I was part or the elemental crew that promoted this site.

i bought a car that was tuned out of state i see alot of u guys think that out state tuner are so great it was tunned buy REATED R so i had dave put it on the dyno its put out 210whp with the REATED R tune so i had dave retune the car it put out 222whp on dave tune

a friend and i have both visited dave on a 300-400 hp turbo application level and never had a problem. both cars run/ran mint.

I see no reason as to why anyone would discredit a dave tuner based on some hooodrat piece of shit hondas with garbage parts failing on his dyno.

Obviously hes doing something right if cars hes tuned are 10 second index.

Its hard to judge tuner vs tuner unless you want to put up your build and your money, and bring your car all over the tri state area to test and trial each tuners individual tunes.

until someone has a number, a power curve chart and track times for each tuner, on the same build/platform, this arguement is based on pure opinions.

I dont hate him, i just think he sucks :)

From excperience that i have seen him work on peoples cars that i know, he sucks..

I've barely been on this site anymore since selling all my Hondas
I've been busy sleeping well and enjoying life without being paranoid
My car's gonna be stolen

Anyways, I've had my cars tuned x times by x tuners

The 1 and only time I had problems was dropping a valve on the dyno
It sucked but next day I ripped it apart and brought back to machine shop

Well 1st off northeast doesn't have a clue what there talking about
I've had 1 good motor done by them and the rest is excuses lies
And just plain incompetent
For 2 weeks my parts sat in same spot I put them in
Was gonna be a 2 day job haha sound famailiar
It was always "it'll be done friday" hahahahha whixh fri $

Finally after bs lies etc I showed up pissed and grabbed my stuff
And brought em to another shop
Springs were garbage
Port n polish was a joke
And when measured my cranks to see what to use I found out what I realy had
Ne labeled everything vtec, they were ls' s lol
Must have a gambling problem or addiction never heard so many excuses
I never had a problem w tuner but learned my lesson w ne
