Being forged means you have more cushion for error, Does not make it indestructible.

Most of the time injectors are bought from running cars or even brand new and are assumed to be 100%. What happens if 1 injector is flowing 15-20% less than the rest? How does the tuner know when a wideband reads an average of all 4 cylinders?

Most of the cars here are not at a level to go as far as individual cylinder monitoring/tuning so do yourself a favor and send your injectors out for cleaning/flowing prior to tuning. Make the tuners life a bit easier while saving your motor.

A tuner can only extract the most out of your setup if it is put together properly. I'm glad I am in a position where I can pick and choose what cars I want to tune because this era is unreal with the big egos and mis-information.

I never said that forged pistons are indestructible sir. If you read my earlier posts, I stated that forged pistons can take a beating. I am not a tuner by any means but I do know that you can see how the engine is behaving from the dyno graph. The tuner should also be reading the spark plugs. By reading the spark plugs, the tuner will have a very good idea of how each cylinder is running. I completely agree that there are other variables that may cause failure on the dyno but it is the tuner's responsibility to monitor how the engine is responding on the dyno. The dyno is a tuning tool, people get too caught up on the numbers. The track is the real test of how much whp your car is making.

Not saying your car doesn't or didn't run hard or that Dave's a bad tuner but everyone needs to hop off his jock dude theres a huge difference in your 150whp (an thats probably being generous) and a 500hp+ turbo car.. Setting up a 2 step and rev limiter isn't tuning...

Melted piston could be cause from lack of fuel, i.e. poor supply or injector also can be caused by not enough timing. Don't confuse a broken ring land or dragged piston skirts with melting pistons.

Or maybe the machine shop did something wrong...?

im just sick and tired of ppl bashing dave because there cars are p.o.s. its not the tuner thats the problem our crew has always gone to dave nd we have some of the fastest shit on the street .... his dyno numbers mite not be high but thats the dyno .... fuck numbers they mean nothing its the proven results at the track or on the street

Lol not mad just don't understand why people think you're so great.. These people have never seen a "real" tuner.. A real tuner doesn't take 764 dyno pulls to decide that the tune is "good enough", they know what they are looking at, they gain power each run instead of going up and down.. Some people don't know any better... Being a good dude and a good tuner are 2 completely different things.. And I am being mature lol just stating facts..

King of basemaps lol you couldn't find five people that I created one for. Also most tunes are done within 10-15 recorded pulls unless the car has other issues. Ask those who have came to me whether or not a tune took longer and if it did ask them of the issues that they brought the car with that needed to be sorted put on the Dyno. It's obvious that both of you are consumers not tuners I know directly that one of you are not even fit to change their own oil. People are quick to point fingers in other areas but never own up to to their shortcomings. Guys build engines then change their power goals knowing well that they don't have the build to sustain it. People like you guys in a nutshell have caused me to reevaluate how I do business. That's why the moment that cars start to give me issues they get pushed off the Dyno. My job as a tuner does not enable me to do what the engine builder (fundamental) or mechanic (final presentation) should have done. I am happy that you guys have found someone that you trust. There's also no reason to discredit what I've helped countless people to achieve.

I shouldn't be on this thread but knowing that ill need a tuner sometime in the future I'm hoping to see how the tuners will re-act to some if these post further I also kno that half the tuners names being thrown around will not comment on this forum or on any one of these specific threads seeing as they all have reps and don't entertain bs comments as I do not kno any one of these tuners ik that bashing someone will get no one anywhere but make urselves look childish and remedial on speculations and rumors
