ecu help!

my car dose not throw a check engine light unless u twist the two wires to jump the code. once i do that the check engine light dosnt blink it just stays on so i cant read my codes. its a 2000 ek with a ls with obd1 jumper its a ls computer.

any help would be appriciated.

check the ecu,it usally blinks since its an obd1

figured it out my cars not thrwoin any codes thats why it stays on when i twist the wires together.....duhhhhhhhhhhhh

usualy just turn the car off when the check comes on to temperarly get rid of it so i thought it was still throwin codes.
