ok guys i need some input. maybe you have or havent had this setup or possibly know someone who has done it??? whatever the case is i need help!
my setup,
b18c5
b16 lsd trans
ctr cams aem cam gears
255 fuel pump
550 injectors
supertech valvesprings and retainers
oem head gasket
2.5 header/exhaust
68mm tb
jrsc with lht cooler
b20 crank pulley
3.4 charger pulley
ok i have seen this setup done before, but i went to get it tuned, and was unable to do so due to the threat of detonation. the setup is at 12 psi on 93 octane. only got into the tuning until 3500 rpm and decided to take it down because we could not pull enough timing. at 3500 rpm i made 94 hp at full boost and 140 lbs of torque.
so im looking for help. i do not want to open my motor up, nor do i want to step down the boost. has anyone does this before and can explain how they did it? what they did? how can i avoid detonation and disaster? i was told stepping it down a little bit, bigger cams, colder plugs (8) but i have 7 in there now, thicker head gasket everything else was good. fuel was good, intake air temperatures never got over 115 degrees.
