first thing's first, haltech is a standalone, hondata is based off the stock ecu.
it really depends on the setup of your car, hondata is enough for 90% of the cars out there, because it will still use the factory ecu for functions you probably don't want to change (cold start timing maps, fuel maps, idle, etc.)
you can definitely make this work with haltech, but it may be more involved than you're looking to get.
you can likely do MORE with the haltech, depending on which haltech you get and which hondata version you're comparing.

If your doing a Honda and unless you going in Miller's class you will never use the full potential of a haltech .. Either s300 or the new aem v2 will get the job done.. But if you wanna ball and get the Haltech mre power to you but imo I doubt you have that crazy enough setup to use it to it's full potential so either aem ems or s300 and call it a day..R.I.P Nick aka NHSwaps
