well heres the deal i understand that but i was wondering on certian honda what is the power range where hondata just isnt enough??
were a full standalone is needed
eventhough hondata is considered a standalone is still does use the original motherboard( base board) with just an eprom chip and board added on corect?

You will need better when more than 4 injectors are needed.

ive seen 900+ whp honda running hondata i dont think it has any limitations just when people want a a wider range of tuning they upgrade and also you cant run distributorless ignition with hondata thats a big issue as well

Megasquirt is decent. Alot of the neon guys use it when they boost. Its pretty cheap and allows for alot of tuneability and this system will also support high power . But i would preferr to use a hondata ecu. Due to its simplicity an how it utlizes a stock obd1 ecu.

If your boosting with megasquirt i think you have to run a return line from your fuel rail to your fuel tank. But im not 100% on that one.

Even though i like megasquirts id still have to say use a hondata ecu.

The best option available for chip based tuning is Crome Pro. It is the best non external hardware based option. If you have the money don't do it halfway, go with aem, motec, haltec etc. That way you only spend the money once.
