  • Budget brake upgrade for your Civic/Integra

Interesting to come across this and hope this is informative to those who are looking to upgrade those dinky civic/integra brakes for a low price compared to the names like wilwood, brembo and etc. With all that power under the hood, you got to have the power to slow down the car. Enjoy!!!

lol thanks i try to be as helpful as i can!

Come to think of it, this is a much better alternative to the big brake up grades from Wilwood Brembo etc. The NSX and legend calipers are the same thing. You're just going to pay way more money for the NSX just because it's an NSX. Both same dual piston calipers. As you guys noticed the prelude vtec rotors are a day and night difference compared to the stock civic/integra.

You can save up some dough and get the reman calipers or go to the junk yard to scoop a pair for less. As far as in rotors and pads, you can go to your local autozone/advance auto. For extra durability and quietness you can go OEM. For Performance you can get brembo rotors or any other aftermarket pads like hawk, ebc, etc.

So fellas, with all that power under the hood, you got to have the power to STOP. I hope you guys find this very informative. Not only it looks nice with the big OEM upgrade, it's stops much better.

I wanna do this to my ek when it's time to do rotors!.. I should pick up the caliper at the junk yard before they're all gone lol

for your civic with the rear disc brakes upgrade, i heard you can get the 40/40 prop valve off a da integra. easily go to the junk yard to snip one in your pocket lol. def do a write up on your budget brake upgrade.
