  • Quick balljoint question

Sup ctv got a 95 4dr EX civic and I got stuck over the weekend on the front upper balljoints. I ordered a set of front upper balljoints off rockauto. When i went to swap them out something didnt look right, there was no c-clip holding it in so i wasnt trying to hack away.
So basically wanted to know if these control arms will need to be completely replaced or is there some unknown way of getting these off?

Rent a press from autozone and press them out or just beat them out with a hammer

Probably shoulda done that also lol. I'll try and get a few tomorrow.

Hondagsr I have the press but I just wasn't sure if they are supposed to come out. I dont have the cash to go buy a whole control arm if the new balljoint doesnt fit.
I did the bottom ones fine, just these looked different. I dont know these cars top to bottom so I dont want to have it down for a week.
Just need a quick clarification thats all

Yupp just take the arm off and use the press to press them out then just line up the little *********s and press the new back in place
