  • proportion valve

    so im doin a rear disk swap on my 95 cx. disks came off a da. ive been hearing that i need to replace the proportion valve with either a dx or an si. ive looked it up and some people say you need to replace it, some say you dont. so i was wonderin if its absolutely necessary to change it. please leave feed back, thank you.

    si or da non abs easiest is da you can source them at the junk yard fairly cheap it will say 40/40 stamped into the side of it

      No it's not necessary. But if u want ur rear brakes to perform a little better then yea but it's not necessary

          drum brakes require more brake pressure so without swapping the prop valve your rear will lock up alot easier most of your braking power should be in front of the car just do your self a favor and swap it do it right the first time also if you have time and money swap the brake master and brake booster for a 94-01 integra non abs you can use the abs one but one of your line will have to be cut and flared due to bigger fitting on abs master

            i have the brake master off my old ex, will that work fine?

              it was non abs and im pretty sure that master is the same as an si so it should work.

                look on passenger side of brake master you want atleast a 15/16th to my knowlege only the abs civics had that except the 92 si

                  i just checked the one i got came off a 94 ex no abs, it says 7/8
