  • i kno this is for honda but i still need help

I have a 1996 chevy silverado...i recently got my truck about a month or 2 ago and havent even driven it out on the streets yet due to no registration lols...but yea put my foot on the brake pedal and it fet kinda spongy and den brake light came on and brake pedal went all the way to the floor...check the master cyclinder and it had like a little smoke coming out of it. a couple days later i added brake fluid and it did the same but it still has enough in the master cylinder after i moved my truck i looked in my driveway and there waz break fluid on the ground and it looked like after u spray tire shine on ur wheels....felt under the master cyclinder it was wet dnt kno if it was from when i spilled brake fluid or is it leaking...i need help???this is the only problem from stopping my truck from being on the road...thanks.....TEVIN

get under the truck scince it's high have some one pump the breaks look at calipers then take a flashlight and shine up see if you see any leaks from master cylinder make sure you dry up any wet spots before doing this check under the dash to the break booster and make sure it's not leakin drops in the inside i've seen gm vehicles do this let us know on the progress g/l bro

There is a gasket that goes between the master and the booster that has a tendency to go bad. Also, is the truck ABS or non-ABS?
