  • Remove Broken stud

    i need a broken stud removed from a header , its in the top half i could get a pic if that would help
    if anybody knows a shop that could do it or if somebody could do it let me know how much, i need this done TODAY!!!!!

        its not gonna hurt anything lol i snpped one off on my ef and just put the new header one and it didnt leak just slap the mani back on and drive it to a shop

            Just get it tapped. cus my manifold that connects to my downpipe two studs broke and i gotta get it tapped out. . . .

                its not nothing, just bring it to a mechanic shop and let them tap it, cost prolly like $20-$40 bucks. . maybe

                    This happened to me you can put a spot of weld no bigger then the bolt dont hit the flange it wont work if you do Pb blast the open side and then use some vise grips on the weld to spin the bolt wile its hot and it should work it did for me or just dril it out and put a nice set of bolts lock nuts

                          is it broken flush with the flange?

                          is there any stud sticking out of the other side you can grip on to? if not, i'd drill it out and use a nut and bolt instead of the header flange being tapped for a stud.

                              yeah, it doesn't look like a small stud, so i don't know if your run of the mill ez-out or reverse drill bit would be enough. nothing wrong with drilling it and either a- tapping an oversized thread for a larger bolt, or b- just running a through bolt (bolt and nut with lock washers).
