on rim's yes,the heat from the rotor's/brakes tends to cook them more and its plastic what

happens to plastic when put with heat it tends to form to the shape of what its on,

then when plastic cools down it becomes the same shape and its no longer movable..same

problem here its on wheels and it doesnt become movable anymore once's its heated then

    cooled

very true but also have to factor in that sun is going to beat on it daily also day in and day out. no matter what it will be a bitch to get off because when any car sits in the sun the metal gets hot as a motherfucker

Plasti Dipping a car is simply retarded imo. I think its good for wheels and trim tho. Alot of 09-11 civic sedan owners on 8thcivic.com plati dip the chrome trim above the license plate

Did it to one of my cars. The pros is its easy and cheap....can look good with patience. I went the rattle can route with it, not as smooth at all compared to paint gunning. Another good thing if it scratches, no one will notice the spray over. However, it does get ashy, stains like paw prints tend to stay in, and if you get tire shine on it, it desinigrates. Personally I like it, when done right, but do expect to be keping up on it.
