i work at j and m automotive,we use these same steps every day next time i have a oxi painted car ill have to get my self recored and what not,i usally just use a 1500 on deep scratchs to cut them down, use microfinish rubbing compound **Do all your cutting work with a wool pad, best way is to globb alot on a problem area make a few pass's and then keep checking how low the scratch is( im sure someone has seen some burnt paint,if i get my digi ill snap some pictures of burnt paint some kid always fux's up some time),after i cut it down lowest possible i usally use a waffle cutting pad(yellow) and pass over it lightly then the most important process is to wipe down, less chances of swirl marks, once thats done you apply some 3m foam pad glaze(gray/black foam pad) (http://terrys.net/3M%20COMPOUNDS/05996PER.jpg),turn up the rpm to about 2,900rpm or about 3,000 and apply little bead's and spread the polish around on the area..wash afterward's and use some 3m imperial hand glaze (best filler in my opion) http://media.photobucket.com/image/i.../Super8162.jpg and then use some calenit paste wax(holds its finish) http://www.collinite.com/images/Marque.JPG
All these chemicals are @ naugatuck auto 203-729-4534( His name is fredd tell him tony from j and m sent you..)Last edited by B13 SE-R; 04-11-2010, 10:19 PM.9-3-12 Legendary IG thatsmrmycocksafloppintoyou
