  • DIY:paint correction.....mirror finish on your car ? ?

here's a man showing you what you should do to remove the orange peel and scratches along with some oxidation on your car giving you that mirror look and predestine finish

*note* im not liable if you try to do this and mess up your paint but here's a good reference on what needs to be done

    First step

-wash it [i use the 2 bucket method

    2nd step
    -dry it completely

    3rd step
-clay [in my opinion that's what i would do b4 wet sanding it]

    4th step
-proceed to wet sanding USE high grit such as 1500 and up
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

    5th step
-id say wash it again some people prefer to rinse it

    6th step
    -dry it again

    7th step
-start compounding [i go with the 3m rubbing compound] remember to wipe off between sessions [some perfer not 2 but i do ]

important!!!! if you are using a rotary buffer be careful with a wool pad it will burn and mess up your paint compounding pads are easier to use i suggest if this is your first time use a compounding pad

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

    8th step
-after compounding the car you must polish it

    YOUR ALMOST DONE

    9th step

-now wax it let it haze and your finished with the paint

if you want to go further and throw some mother polish on the chrome parts if you have any or your can use back to black by mothers on the exterior trim and tire shine....etc...

NOW YOU CAN SIT BACK AND ADMIRE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOUR PAINT LOOKS and go stunt lol jk jk

    sry guys i was bored

I'll take one for the team. It won't be for a lil bit but I'll try it. My paint seems to be salvageable but if I fuck it up... Eh, I want to paint it semi gloss black anyways. It's a win win for me lol

wool will cut better then foam but be careful with repainted cars because there mit not be enough clear coat in certain areas.
