  • April 14th Uconn Car Show @ Rentschler Field East Hartford

I know most people will be at Honda day and I wish I could too but its just too far of a haul for me personally and dont wanna trailer my car. So this is Uconn car clubs annual car show. Always a good time... normally the show has been limited to 600 cars because of the small parking lots on the Uconn campus in storrs... but this year there will be no limit on capacity! Dont quote me but I believe you can bring grills, booze, whatever... just keep the bullshit at home and the ricer shit. Its just like the Central CCSU car show except no joke 50 times bigger!

The UConn Car Club would like to invite you to be a part of our 10th Annual Spring Car Show on Sunday, April 14th (Raindate: April 21st). Please follow us at http://twitter.com/uconncarclub or https://www.facebook.com/events/600924469922804/ for updates.

    What you need to know:

    Location:
    Rentschler Field, East Hartford CT
Directly off I-84, use the Silver Lane entrance
    (see map below)

    Hours:
Gates open @ 9:00 am (Please try not to come earlier because the lot will not be ready)
    Registration closes @ 12:00 pm
Gates will remain open until the beginning of awarding Trophies
    Trophies by 1:30-2:00 pm

    Price:
    $10 per car to show,
$3 per car for spectator parking in separate lot.

    Parking:
Due to our move to Rentschler Field for this year’s show, we will no longer be limited to ~600 participants!! If you can make it to the show, you can enter!

There will be no pre-registration. If your group would like to park together; arrive early and drive in together as a group. The first map attached below lists parking lots in the area and their locations so you can meet as a group before arriving at the show to drive in together.

Due to the nature of Rentscher Field’s parking lots, we cannot guarantee parking with friends, etc. If you want to park together, make sure to arrive together.

Important: This year spectator parking will be across in a separate lot outside of the lots for registered show cars. If you do not plan to register your car, you will be asked to park in the spectator area. Police Officers and club members will be there to direct you.

    We Need Your Input
Have any ideas for our show? Anything from previous shows you would like included or excluded? Any questions, concerns or comments for us? Please let us know! We have a forum setup on our website where you can discuss anything show related WITHOUT having to register. Just follow the link (http://www.uconncarclub.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=33) and enter the password which is UC3 (all caps). The only way to make our show better is from the input we get and we’ll do our best to incorporate as many ideas as possible.

    - Again, unlike past years, we will NOT be restricted to just 600 participants!

I actually talked to the president of the club at uconn and they said next year they are going to have a mobile dyno come. They wanted to do it this year but cause of the new venue it was sketchy and to many variables

Why do they have to have this the same day as Honda day? I went to this show last year and it was great. Wish I was attending this years show :( but Honda day is already locked in for me.

Lets see...East Hartford is 30-40 minutes for me...

                        Atco, NJ...4 hrs one way...

Will be there in the rust bucket for sure...

Ya that's my reasoning too. Atco is 5+ hours and Hartford is 15-20 min
