Just an idea...lets say that milford PD has a charity they support or a charity of their own that supports their force..what if there was a small fee to get in lets say ten bucks and the proceeds go to the charity...now all you do is invite the cops to the event and they are relax..not dick heads and they will keep things under control and free of charge all while giving us a good look towards the community because we are giving back...just saying 200 cars at $10 a pop is two grand just for one night..even if you only gave half of the proceeds that's still a G in your pocket and you can use that for prize money if you had a contest for best car or something.

Didn't even realize there was a thread on this idea.. I wish we could all have something to enjoy on a Tuesday night, but unfortunately it's hard to enforce rules in a pubic place, let alone have people make a charitable donation to attend. I'm not bashing the idea, I think it would be for a great cause. I just feel with this generation, no one gives a shit (or at least the bad outnumber the good after awhile), people become disrespectful and unappreciative.. No one bashes the older car cruises and meets because people are actually respectful and don't come smoking weed, doing burnouts and rolling around with no registration then try to run once they see a cop.
I think it would be more aggravation than its worth because it's been the same outcome for years.. All good ideas, but Doug has tried all of these things. Everyone always says they will help "enforce" rules, and clean up trash.. But NO ONE ever follows through besides him and I. I have never seen anyone else walking around picking up trash besides myself, Doug and one of my close friends. Everyone just looks at you walking around picking up THEIR shit from the ground.
As for a permit, if I were Doug I wouldn't want to spend the $$ and put my name on a paper that holds him responsible when shit gets out of control. Just saying.Last edited by jbova; 02-25-2012, 08:01 AM.13203 -always in our hearts- NHSwaps
