i do every year! then i think of the headaches and stress. it's something that i don't want to deal with, but nobody else steps up to help keep shit in order, it always comes down to me picking up trash, telling people to cut the shit, talking to the cops, etc. idk if it's worth it.

I say have a staff, whoever is part of that staff, should wear a shirt stating that. now, any reckless driving, littering, etc the staff is responsible for kicking those individuals out. if they dont comply to do so, simply call the authorities and have them deal with it. Cant let one idiot ruin it for the rest of us. Everyone should be in compliance and know that we are on public property.

            also not a bad idea...

but what happens when people don't listen? do a burnout, be told to leave, say fuck off and stay. cops can't do anything because they didn't see it. if we say that person has to leave, they say we all have to leave. i've tried it before.

i know people have called the cops on people acting dumb at meets before (idiots doing stupid shit when they leave, etc.) but it only seems to bring negative attention to us as a whole.

I think the problem is with people that go to these meets and are not on the forums... They see all these cars and think the cool thing to do is speed and burnout. I say make a flyer that states the rules. If you dont follow them your not welcone back. On that note doug you have to bring this meet back!

thanks for all the support everyone. thanks to those who have solid input, who come and don't act dumb, and who want to see these meets come back.

my question is, how can we, as a group of individuals who share the same interest, "police" this ourselves without there being drama?

Thats where the staff comes in. its a meet, Not the races, people seem to get the two mixed up.

Make a flyer like Marvin stated before, post rules, and the consequences if you dont follow the rules. OR you can keep the meet as a Invite only event. meaning no outsiders, make a thread, Whoever will be attending the meet should add there username on the thread, now when "MEET DAY" come you and the rest of the staff will be at the entrance, with a list of names, as people drive in, you simply ask for there Username cross em out, and thats that. now for those who arent into the forums and just come in because they wanna be nosey/and or cool, you simply hand em the flyer with the rules, let them know that they are an "outsider" so any funny business or Ricer acts, they will be thrown out no if, ands, or butts. For those who act up and are in this Forum simply post there name on the meet thread as "not welcome"

And make a thread ill be happy to take the picture of the moron that didsomeyhing dumb.

im liking all this support guys. if we can get the folks who come to have more involvement in keeping this a fun/under control get together, i'd definitely more seriously consider it.

                        organization is key.

i don't want this to be MY meet. i want this to be OUR meet.

and i think for it to be successful, everyone should do their part to help keep things organized, clean, under control, etc.

but i want everyone to enjoy themselves. people bring their kids to this. people come from NY and MA for these meets. you get everything from stock civics to vipers/skylines. people know about these meets, the word is out. now we have to tackle the issue of keeping it in order.

Damn, Tuesday is my poker night :(.

But to be completely honest, I don't think its possible for EVERYONE to act like adults. There is always going to be people who are too lazy to walk to a garbage can, have "grudges" or "problems" with someone else, or are too immature to NOT drive reckless. I agree that most of the drama comes from Honda people. I just don't think there is any way to weed out all the trouble makers from the crowd. It only takes a split second or the wrong person showing up for people to show their true colors.

Hopefully someone can come up with a good solution though, it would be nice to have these start up again!
