milford meets?

every year, i swear i won't organize another tuesday night meet...but every spring, i get the itch to.

i want this thread to be feedback and brainstorming.

how can we keep things organized? how do we keep people from fighting, littering, doing burnouts, and acting like idiots? it seems nearly impossible to expect people to act right, but does anyone have input on how we can? i like getting a variety of cars there, but honestly, most of the trouble i've had in the past comes from the honda scene.

I don't have the time (especially with some moves i'm making currently) to be responsible for everyone/thing and police people. nor do i want to have to do that.

i want to. they were one of the bigger meets in the area, i just don't like the negative shit to deal with that comes along with having that many people there at one time.

Ive never been to a meet in milford but Ive heard about all the drama man...idk but maybe get a cop to park in the lot..tell them that its a meet not a race or anything and you want a cop present so people dont act dumb..anyone who has the balls to be a ass in front of the cops probably shouldn't be there in the first place.

i always wanted to have a police presence there, like other car shows/meets do, but milford PD doesn't seem too keen on the idea. we've had some cool cops roll through there before, but there's always the ones who aren't cool and bust balls about nothing, but not do shit when there's a reason for them to.

that also brings up the question of keeping it in the same place. should we have it in milford in a public place, or should we try and find another location (private property, a shop or something of the sort?)

i likes the milford spot because it was well lite, and had tons of parking.

It would definetly cut down on the bullshit if you had cops there, in the meet, walking around or whatever.

But lets face it, most of these "thugs" or "gangstas" hate the police........until they need them, so who knows if it will affect the turnout.

i wouldn't be worried about turnout, if you don't like it, don't come...if we could make that happen, it'd probably be our best bet, but the cops are hit or miss. some of them support what we're doing, others look at it as easy targets to write tickets for stupid stuff.

Maybe go to the PS ahead of time and see if you can talk to some cops in person and request the ones that you thank are gonna get the job done without being that ass hole...or find a cop who is into cars and respects the idea how having a meet...try to get them to come to the meets whether it be on duty or off...at least if you try that they will see your not about drama and causing problems for residents in that area.

I think you should setup a sit down with someone with some pull in the Milford PD, and just lay it out on the table.

They can either support us, or we will find a town that will. If they were smart, they would see the potential in a organization like this.

I was gonna hit u up about the meets again lol i think we will always have hard headed kids at the meets we jus need more then one person to tell them to chill out,and maybe it will be a gd turn out
