Okay guys in october there was a ASDI Driving school/ AUTO X

November 23rd same deal, I know its alittle bit of a drive but i think its worth it if you like to do stuff like this.

here is some info.

You pay: $125 and you race from 10am to 4pm.

You also dont have to work the field like in regular Auto X just race and watch.

This is in North Kingston, Rhode Island so its not that far.

same here but i always wanted to get into auto x im going to check how long of a drive it is and see if its possible for me to go whats the requirements for the track? helmet only?

looks like its about 90 minutes from new haven. i'll go if a few others want to go. i dont have a helmet but from the pics it doesn't look like anyone is wearing one

Q. Can anyone take the High Performance Driving class?
A. Yes. The only requirements are a valid driver’s license, and your own vehicle. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent and a liability waiver signed prior to class date. Oh, and of course a car that passes tech. inspection.

Q. Do I need a helmet or other protective gear?
A. Although not mandatory, unless in an open top vehicle, we strongly urge people to bring helmets and we have some loners on hand. (Again open vehicles are required to wear a helmet.)



Q. What kind of car do I need to take the high performance driving class?
A. No car in particular is necessary; you could steal your grandma’s Lincoln or come with your badass Civic, Vette or whatever else you want to max. out. We like them all! But, they will need to pass tech. inspection

Q. What should I wear?
A. Dress comfortably, according to the weather. (Always dress in layers during cooler months. Airstrips are usually 10 degrees cooler or hotter depending on the day.)

Q. What should I bring with me?
A. Besides your car and drivers license, proof of insurance, and the tech. form nothing else is required; however, you may want to bring sunglasses, SUNBLOCK, and a folding chair for lunch or breaks.

As far as tech goes, its not strict, aslong as your battery is tied down and everything looks visually good i beleive your good to go.
