That's an extremely vague question...what parts are you looking to buy?

mounts, axles, shifter, shifter cables, clutch lines, fuel rails, fuel filters, fuel pressure regulators and so on so forth. if I have the engine harness for my motor already will that work for the swap in a eg or do I need a swap harness?

Anything that suffers wear and tear or is a maintenance item should be purchased new, with online availability it'd be silly to buy something used for it to fail and you have to buy it new regardless. Then some parts you can be the judge of, like motor mounts. You can tell if it's worn or not. A fuel filter? Get it new. And the harness question depends on the swap and what chassis it came out of.
