  • K series back to B series in an EK

had someone offer me an immaculate EM1 shell for a decent price but it's K series. never did a K swap or reversed one so im not sure how difficult it would be to change everything back for my B16 turbo swap. car has DC subframe with eg manual rack, carcepts shifter plate, and hybrid ekk2 mounts. i didnt buy the car yet and everyone is telling me to just buy a k swap but i already have alot of money into my b swap so im not tryna start from scratch with the entire power train. any advice you guys could give me about how big of a pain in the ass it would be is much appreciated.

thats what alot of people on honda tech had said in other threads. is it a necessity to cut the floor for the shifter plate when doing the swap in an ek? im not sure about how K's are wired. any common steps/changes that i should anticipate having to change back to oem for the B series when it comes to harnesses? also are the ekk2 mounts the ones that are welded or direct bolt in? i mean if it's just the floor ill go cut the floor out of an ek at the junkyard and weld it back in but if im going to be stuck cutting and welding mounting locations and shit along with everything els it almost seems like more work then it's worth.

Like he said. The floor would be the hardest part. An d you'd need a Ek subframe. If the swap was done correctly nothing in the engine bay should be cut. The b series mount brackets should bolt right up.
