  • How much Boost to stock motor?

How much boost from a turbo kit can i push to a stock 02 type-s motor. my upgrades are stage 2 cams, and hondata. i want to know exactly a max push but still safe for a couple months. want to have some fun before i pull the car off the road for a build.

saying its only going to last me days not like a month or so im only looking to see if its worth having fun for a month or half or not before i start the build which i plan on taking a year on so everything is done to profection and the best possible. and i thought they were supposed to be able to handle up to around 350hp stock....thats what i have heard anyways.

it depense on the size of the turbo, the tuner and how healthy the motor is.

wrd. iv'e seen people hit 600+ whp ona similar setup to you. Stock k20a2 block. Meaning oem pistons/rods, oem head gasket, oem bolts. Just a big turbo, injectors, cams, valvetrain and a good tune.

When I saw the thread the car had over 30 pulls on it. But idk how long that would last,

yea i mean i dont want it to be crazy boosted just a little more then what i have maybe around 300hp no more then that cuz im already putting down 215whp with the tune and cams and such i mean i have little stuff here and there and the tune i have helps alot its just i want something to have fun for a moth then park it and i know what to look forward after i build it starting this september.

i heard greddy kits arent really good. I would get a big kit. And just run a few psi to get to 300whp for now until you build the motor. That way you don't build the motor and not get full potential out of it because you need a bigger turbo and shit.

all depends on the engine condition, the tune on the build and the quality of the parts, and most importantly, your right foot. cars last as long as you want thm to when done right, i ran my a3 on 10lbs for 8 months and the motor still went on afterwards with 2 other setups and not a huff of smoke. visit k20A and look at their turbo setion, there are setups for days with different goals and such that you can see.

No one ever factors in the right foot.
