  • Complicated?

    I been looking into K swaps lately and they dont look that hard to do?? Granted, ive never done one or anything bigger than a B series swap but im just curiouse;

    How hard is it to swap a k series into an EK(for example)?
    How much money and time is invested?
    Whats the maximum WHP on an all motor daily driven?
    Wht is the hardest/most expensive part of the swap?

    Shit like that! Just looking for information so please keep your stupid comments to your self if youre born knowin everything than great for you!

      I had almost 11thounsand invested i wasnt cutting corners,had full custom aeromotive fuel setup,spent 3500 on swap ,another 1600,for a type r lsd tranny,600 for eg mounts 800, for headers,250 conversion harness,another 500 on my custom radiator setup,and wat gets you is all the little things,i opted for a rbc mannifold another 200 ,skunk 2 throttle body,shifter box, then you still need a kpro exhaust, but if your going with a stock throw in swap,then it should be atleast half of wat i spent.......sadly enough thieves took it all and i decided that i was done with hondas and bought a bmw i can finally sleep good at night without having to be looking out the window :D

            Its a little bit more involved than just your bolt on swap but if you are mechanically inclined you should be good....

                      You can do a K swap for like 6k. k24a2(Tsx) $1300-$1800, Mounts $500, Conversion harness $250-$350, Shifter box/Cables $200, Shifter plate $125, Fuel system $500, Tranny $500-$900, Ac/Ps delete $200, Clutch line $75, 36mm Hubs $295. Kpro $900
                      On the low end that total to $4845

                      If you want bolt ons Rbc $200, Swap Header $500, Tb $200, Tune $500
                      Bolt on's and a tune $1400

                      That all equals to $6245 and by no means is that cutting corners. You have the potential to run low 12's high 11's on a stock bolt on setup. Imagine you drop in cams lol. Once you have everything to swap in a K everything else is the cost of a B.

                        if you have the shell you can get a complete change over for around $4500 drop in and go. the swap is easy imo the most expensive part is the actual motor and tranny, buy your parts used its cheaper, you cannot compare b series to k. if you do not have a shell ready for the swap just buy a completed car it will end up being cheaper that way
                        Honda sucks. Over priced junk.
