  • found a awesome deal on the k24a4 motor, and now need help!

    i picked up a k24a4 engine for dirt cheap.
    now i am in the process of taking the enigne apart for the rebuild
    looking to hit 200-250 in that range with this motor
    i am new to the k swaps and builds.
    i will be putting this motor into my ek coupe and i am doing it all the right way! and legit!
    if anyone has any comments or knowledge that they can help me with or any parts for sale that will help me with this build project hit this up asap!

    looking for someone to give me advice on what to use for internals for the motor and where i can find them. need everything for full rebuild.

      thanks bro. this is a whole new ball game, everyone has B swaps where i am located looking for something to get away from what everyone else got lol

          put a k20a2 head
          that alone will put you 200+hp
          high compression if all motor
          cams

              those heads are junk according to everybody
              I have one myself for sale $125 and nobody wants it

                  just like jdmkid618 said put a k20a2 head on ,it is easy to achieve the power goals you have but it is not cheap,if you want naturally aspirated u can use 12.1 or 12.5 compression pistons,port and polish head with a better valve train ,blue print racing stage2 cams,kpro, to mate the k20a2,z3,a or z1 head you can use all the chain, guides head gasket from the k24 u have but it is recommended to use k20a2 pump.i believe on your k24a4 from a accord u will have to modify the oil pump to fit the block,
                  there are cheaper ways too like using tsx pistons and rods,or build your bottom end port and polish your head and vtec killer cams off coarse upgraded valve train ,k series are great but again a lot expensive,i will recommend k20a.org ,it is a very informative forum for k series

                      i wanna go with stage 2 skunk2 cams or crower cams. and then whatever cams i go with do the same brand valves, springs and retainers. but idk whats recommend for the block as for pistons and rods

                        i will recommend blue print racing h beam rod,a little cheap, I beams are a little light than the h beam hence a little light will keep ure engine a little rev happy but either one would be great,for pistons you ve a lots of choices depending on what compression u want to use wiescos ,cp ...there are plenty choices,i dont know what to say about the same brand valve train as the cams question..

                          not to sound like a racer lol, but i wanna beefy sound with the motor done up so. with the motor being built, what size exhaust and type would you run with a n/a k swap

                            dont get skunk2 cams, they really dont show good gains compared to whats available. Blueprint, Brian Crower, Drag Cartel, IPS. All good n/a cams depending on your budget.
