EP honda civic SI questions.....

Im buying a 2004 honda civic SI hatcback. I was told that the ECM in the car restricts alot of things. i was told that a 100 shot of nitrios only gave it 10hp. I was told that intake, exhaust, headers and just minor stuff like that pretty much didnt do anything to the car, is this true? If it is what can i do to change it? Do i have to buy something like a hondata, a stand alone ECU, let me know what i can do, thank you

if you are gonna do bolt ons to let it breathe i would at the least send the ecu to hondata to get a reflash...i know it does big things on the new si... but if you are lookin to make big power get the k pro from hondata i think its like $1600 tho...good luck

i have a '08 Civic Si transmission on a "TSX motor" ;) with some work done its a noticeable improvement if you're looking to go that route

its not too expensive, you can definitely pull it off for less than an extra $10k thats what i love about hondas, they're cheap little cars to build

this is so ************ing retarded.. i hate when ppl talk shit about things that they know nothing about.. my EP made 15-20whp over what most of them dyno stock with just an intake and exhaust.. after the reflash i will make more power.. just maybe a lil torque.. and the race header and cams i should be right around 180-190whp.. they are not as slow as ppl think cuz i can run bb6 preludes with the same mods as me and its a drivers race between me and similar modded EM1. the only thing with the EP's is the shitty ass 6800rpm redline.. thats it.. but again.. the reflash fixes that.. and btw.. i raced a 212whp FA5 and it beat me by like 3-4 cars to 120.. and like 2 cars from a dig... i dont think thats bad at all

umm..of course it's cheap to make a pretty fast car faster. especially a turbo'd one from the factory..just my .02. and don't forget you do most of the work yourself.
