    dont flame me i didnt search im out of time...wich motor is better a1 or a4? i kno a2's r better than both jz wanted to no wich one between these 2 cuz i dont feel like spendin a g note one kpro wen an a4/a1 motor goes for $700...btw i do know kpro is the way to go but stock ecu's can be run on these motors in my base

    got the idea from here

    im putting a k24 in my type s and wondering how it would work with the stock k20 ecu if it could damage the engine what not or should i pick up a tsx ecu....by the way im going to get kpro but thats 1000 dollars later lol

      Well I assume you want to bolt a PRB/RRB(K20A2/K20Z1/K20Z3) Head to the K24 block, so as far as Budget goes, get the K24A1 because it has Dished pistons that clears the K20 Head valvetrain without pistons replacement. The K24A4 is the same Short Block in theory, other than the raised Quench Area Pistons that are installed. This block would require piston replacment to use the K20 heads.

        wait dont u need kpro for franks???.

        nd i was actually lookin into jz droppin a stock motor in so i could run a stock ecu(for now)...but now that u mentioned it an a1 would be a better buy for the long run

            so you just want to run a stock k24 in your rsx? i think you would need kpro for either because you'd have to disable the immobilizer so the car can start. but i could be wrong :o

              jes k24 estock wit mashing 5 peed ecu...couldnt i just ghetto rig the keys for cost cutting purposes???...idk if its the same but on my max i took it to the dealer and they programmed my key to match the ecu i bought

                If you dont wanna spend the money on kpro buy a itr ecu and ground the fuel..i got a ecu for sale if your interested,,

                  theres no getting around it.. no matter what you have your gonna need gaypro if u wanna go fast! now theres a guy on crsx that makes an adapter of some sort that you CAN use kpro with base models for like 300

                    eyedeekay wut yr sayin bout $300 adapter to run kpro on my base...hondata does sell kpro for 5spd's....nd i didnt say im tryna avoid buying kpro completely jz not buyin it within the next few mos. lol
