Whats your power goals? Cause you honestly don't need to touch the block to make good power, DH racing offers a head that on a healthy stock block can make 250whp..

yeah i agree.. with all the money and stuff your gonna put toward working on just sleeving and boring a h22 block you could of built something a little more serious with a f series block with the h22 head on it...

I would really like to make 3& change im good with doing head work its just with the block im kind of iffy with it. I have a f22 single vtec in my whip now but i want high compression. And to build my f22 block i would have to pull the motor out thats my dd so i cnt do that. I dnt mind spending the money to do it right and be happy with the output but now im thinking i should just get me an f20b and build that its same power output a bit less torque but seems more suitable for what i want to do you know, and its also a cheaper longblock so ill save money there and with not having to sleeve it. What do you guys think f20b or h22?

I can get a f20b jdm from jdm engine depot longblock for 600. But if i go with 5 im sure they'll let it go. So im about to do that. With the f20b you dnt have to worry about sleeving it right lmk if this is a better idea thanks for ya'll help
