How to do H2B swap FAQ!
If you do not have mechanical skills then I strongly recommend having a shop or someone that knows what there doing mechanicaly before you try this swap!!! DO AT YOUR OWN RISK I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO TO YOUR CAR IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS!!!!!
OOKso many of you ask all the time how to do H2B or F2B, well here it is.
I will post up some pics of what you gotta do and the right way to do it. I will also show you the wrong way to do it if you wanna be a cheap F***.:mad:
I will also post up some prices that are out there today as well.
The H2b swap can and will fit in all EF's, EG's, EK's, DA's, DC integra's.
All you gotta do it buy the "RIGHT H2B KIT" for you're year and model. NOTHING has to be cut off to fit this swap in. It will fit DELSOL's also!!
The H2B set up use's you're existing "B series tranny; hydro or cable", "B series axles" & "B series clutch & flywheel." You also use you're existing "engine harness" as all you have to do it lengthen the ALTERNATOR & FUEL injector clips.
NOOOO H2B does not F up your tranny. Its when people dont know how to drive and shift like fast & the furious!
I strongley recommend buying aftermarket B SERIES mounts like HASPORT or INNOVATIVE, for any shell of civic or integra you're putting it in to. Due to the high snappy torque and weight of this swap your gonna F you're stock mounts up and the GL with that.
Weight of the front end is lighter than a K swap and lighter than a turbo B.
NOOOOOO!!!!!! You can "NOT" use you're AC or PS :( sorry it just doesnt fit on any model of civic's or integra.
Now I will list all the stuff you will need to make a good H2B swap come alive.
H2B KITS:
1) EVO "BISIMOTO" $1,300 with motor mounts. $1,000 without motor mounts.
2) QSD Motorsports $780 & they DO NOT make mounts.
MOTOR & TRANNY:
1) ANY H series motor will work & ANY B series cable or hydro tranny will work.
2) 2 L & R B series axles and B series HALF shaft.
CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL:
1) B series AFTERMARKET clutch like ACT, EXEDY, COMP.....
2) B series flywheel BUT!! the EVO kit comes with a nice flywheel, QSD does NOT.
3) Stock slave cylinder
Motor Mounts:
1) ALL 3 B series mounts for the year of your civic or integra.
2) B series L braket for what ever year of civic or integra you got you gotta use the correct one if you where to swap a B series in that honda.
WIRING:
1) Alternator
2) Fuel injector clips
3) IAC sensor
4) EGR sensor for emission's or take off and block at your own expence.
5) Chipped or tuned P28 ecu with a H22 base map.
SUSPENSION:
1) Good Suspension like D2, Skunk2, ksport
2) Traction bars; if you wanna hook good. AFTERMARKET BARS ARE NEEDED FOR DA'S & EF'S. "THE STOCK ONES WILL NOT WORK!!!"
MOD'S:
1) KAIZENSPEED Balancer shaft emliminator kit:
Improves oil pressure, removes 10pounds & is "NEEDED" if putting it into EF's
2) Skinnier alternator pulley from a dx civic.
3) 2 1/2" exhaust or if you plan on making power go with 3".
4) GOOD headers!! NOT EBAY! with a 2 1/2" or 3" outlet.
5) Intake manifold modding is up to you or just buy aftermarket.
6) Rear hood lift about 1" to 2 1/2 inches depending on what car.
7) Modded B series Coolent hoses.
8) Grind down the back of the H series block were the axle meets the Halfshaft. BE CAREFULL AND TAKE YOUR TIME! GRIND AWAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! This takes time and you wanna grind alil bit at a time and keep checking, buy putting in the "left axle into the halfshaft" and out to see the clearance you need. SO TAKE YOUR TIME & DONT GRIND AWAY TO MUCH!! (THE YELLOW BOX IN THE PIC BELOW IS WHAT YOU GRIND DOWN!)
