  • H22 in a 92-95 civic

Yo... has anyone done this swap?? I have a 92 bubble and a 97 h22 motor and tranny.... i'm thinking it should be the same as a gsr swap but I wanted to make sure.

so where is the big difference? I got to swap a JDM f20 motor for one of my boys into his 98 prelude....swap comes with everything which means I will have everything from the prelude... besides the mounts is there anything else I will need to change( I know that I will need adapters for the injectors cause there obdII) Let me know just a real rookie withthis swap and don't want to miss the simple shit

the hardest part is the H motor has shifter cables not linkage so you need to cut a hold for the shifter cables to get in to the cab and mount the shifter box on the floor. but it worth it

its worth it yes and no, if u got a super deal on the motor invest in a h2b adapter plate. if not rock out with the h box. i highly recomend hasport mounts and axles. u need any help hit me up:D

Good look on the info.. yea I got a super deal on both the car and the motor so I might mess with a the H2b kit if it's reasonable. How much can you get the mounts axels and H2b kit for? Just curious and the H22 tranny is mint so I would probably want to sell that if I went this route.

honestly, the gearing on the h22 tranny isn't bad at all, especially if you have a jdm tranny (their gears are a little bit closer than their usdm counterpart). those h2b adapter plates usually run upwards of $800, and from what i've heard (and i don't know if this is true), you have to still get a custom mount for it

either way you're going to spend a good amount of $$$ doing the swap with all the parts you have to buy. the little things add up :D

but if you put in the h, you won't be disappointed. the all-motor b-series guys won't stand a chance as long as you have a good tune
