  • H22 head H23 block conversion HELP!

    This topic has most likely already been covered but the info is so old it isnt reliable in my eyes...I've been tryin to research this topic know for about a month an still cant conclude really anything except the basic info.. and part list...My current plan is Jdm H22 head S2P1 cams mated to a H23a1 block w/Jdm Type pistons balanced and all that other good stuff..Just trying to get some good info on the process on this hybrid...I know H23vteclude has done it but I had no luck tryin to get ahold of him or somebody who is knowledgeable on this subject....any info or links on this subject would be appreciated..

              I HAVE A H22 WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GAIN 40 MORE HORSE POWER I HAVE AEM FUEL RAIL RACING FUEL PUMP CHIP OUT ECU HEADERS INTAKE AND EXAUST WHAT NOW

                  We'll it all depends on what route you wanna take (all motor,nitrous,turbo etc) I would first have the car dynoed to find out what your currently at if you haven't done that already..then all you basic bolt ons(IM,TB etc.) make sure the ecu being used is tuned to your specific motor not no base map chip you buy on eBay...

                    i heard from a friend of mine that the h22 head fits on the h23 and holds a beating

                      ? i just bought a blue top h23 vtec i need to put a rod bearings in it. isnt it the same as an h22 in specs for clearance and torque??
                      No ebay = No fast CT hondas.

                        I had read on another forum that the h23 and the h22 block the same ... Their only difference is the stroke cuz of the crankshaft...I'm pretty sure the rod bearings are the same and torque specs but I would call the Honda dealer to reassure thou..

                            yeah im pretty sure the blocks are the same like a gsr and type r blocks i dont think there should be any problem

                              So essentially you can take a H23 lower end and get everything squared away as it should be, then just slap a H22 head on? or is there other things that need to be done?
